Good U.S. Military Model 1795/1808 Flintlock Musket. United States, c. 1812. The nicely crafted Service Contract musket with 41-1/2" round smoothbore barrel. U.S arsenal proof marks on barrel, and Eagle over US on lock. Lock also with names, "CANTON, 1812" and "R & C LEONARD." The wood stock shows normal moderate wear and use, and is overall sound, with good eye appeal. Musket has been reconverted back to its original configuration, and is complete with standard regulation iron furniture, steel rod, shoulder sling hardware. Length: 56-3/4". A handsome, fully operational early American long arm.

Original 1884 Victorian Era 10th Hussars Painting by Richard Simkin. An expertly painted original watercolor, 14" X 21", by prominent British artist Richard Simkin, 1840-1926, well known for his military subjects. In this work, titled "The 10th, The Prince of Wales's Own Royal Hussars", Simkin portrays in meticulous detail five mounted, and one standing, officers of the regiment in uniforms worn during various periods of its existence from 1742 to 1884, the date the painting was completed. At the top a hand painted coat-of-arms of the unit. Signed and dated 1884 by Simkin below the center image. Handsomely framed to an overall size of 24.5" X 30" and ready for display, though a replacement of the aged matting would enhance the appeal of this lovely painting.

USA 1833 Dragoon Officer's Saber. Overall length of 39.5 inches with a gilt or brass wire wrapped brown leather grip, this in very good condition. Pommel, backstrap and knuckle guard in brass, the quillon knob marked "J.M". On the ricasso in engraved script some remnants of the maker name N.P. Ames Cutler, Springfield, Mass. Likewise very faint remains of an engraved design on the blade, this worn down from use and cleaning. The blade with fine light pitting overall, otherwise good condition or better as noted.

USA 1840-50 Militia Staff Officer's Sword & Scabbard. 36.5 inches overall with an almost half length blade decoration. Made by W.H. Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia, their name within the decorated area of the blade as well as the scabbard on an applied copper scroll. The decorated pommel, quillons and chain guard in brass with a fluted bone grip. Includes the scarce partially decorated scabbard, also in brass with two carrying rings and a frog button, which was once bent 9.5 inches from the tip and is split on one side at the bend. Overall good condition except as noted.
